I was wondering how to bios update without breaking everything. Last time I did it it fucked up my windows install and I lost everything. I just went through a windows corruption recently so I want to avoid that lol

Follow the instructions for you motherboard and be patient with it. If you feel like it's taking a long time, just wait rather than pulling the USB out or something. I would avoid using update applications that you run in Windows, update it through the BIOS, or through a USB Flashback feature if your board has one.

First thing you need to do is work out if you actually need to update the BIOS or not. If you're not having an issue, there's no specific feature you want and there's no essential security update in a newer BIOS, just leave it and don't update as there's no point.
