So after owning my pre-built gaming pc, it just isn't enough.... I want to build my own by hand!! I'm going to keep the current pc however and probably use it as parts for this next build. It's current components are:

-Intel I5-7400

-Odense2-k MOBO

-8 gb DDR4 2133 memory (some small market one I'm sure

-1tb WD Hardrive

-NVIDIA GTX 1060 3gb GPU

-450wtt PSU

Pretty great pc and I have no complaints, especially for the price I bought it at! ($819 before tax) Streaming whiling gaming is no problem at all but trying to run music or any other background program does start giving me fps spikes, nothing to bad, but I just want to build a beast of a machine!! I will be just buying 1 part per month more than likely as I am no millionaire, yet. Below I'll post what I'm wanting to use for my build, if I put a (+), that means I'm adding to what I currently am running

The Dream Build

CPU: Ryzen 7 1700x with included GPU Cooler (yaaaaayy overclockable)

MOBO: Asus - STRIX B350-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard (I chose this one mainly cuzz it looks sexy as f*ck...)

MEMORY: Adding a G.Skill Aegis 8gb on top of my current 8gb giving me a total of 16gb of 2133 memory, will inevitably be adding 2 other sticks for a total of 32gb DDR4

STORAGE: I'm going to be using the current 1tb WD Hardrive but adding a Kingston A400 120 GB SSD

GPU:Still going to be using the GTX 1060, one day I'll swap it out for a 1080ti, when the prices come down a bit...if they ever do

PSU: will my 450wtt still run al this fine? Or should I consider getting a 500 or 550wtt?

So what do you guys think?! PC Part Picker reports no compatibility issues for this build but if you guys think there would be any at all please leave a message down below

Why am I switching from intel to Ryzen? I've read many posts and watched many videos displaying that the Ryzen 7 is phenomenal for multitasking especially for gaming and streaming. I'm paying more for the 1700x ,however, compared to my current i5, it's overclockable!!! And comes with an RGB GPU cooler, cuzz who doesn't like rgb?

What model is it? There's a chance you're just fine with it but we have to know the model. If it's an alright one it's probably worth keeping.

Nononono, buy some good shit. Like the SanDisk Ultra 3D. Hopefully you can make budget space for a 250GB.

Alternatives are the Crucial MX300/MX500 and the Hynix SL308. These are all great SSDs.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here
