I picked up an EVGA 670 ftw last month, and it has been running pretty well so far. It's a bit louder than I wanted, but I can get a stable 1270ish on an overclock. Today is the last day of the return period, and I can't help but wonder if it would be worth paying the difference to an MSI 680 Lightning. I know it would run quieter due to the twin frozr, but I'm wondering if the overclock would be a noticeable amount better than my current 670 ftw. I'm about to pick up a 2560x1440 monitor, so every little bit of power will help. Would it be worth shelling out an extra $80 for the upgrade?

edit: I just saw that newegg has the 680 lightning as discontinued. Is there a reason they have been discontinued? Just checking in case I wanted to get a second one later for sli.

Definitely the 680 lightning. It is a waayy better card than the reference design so it would be worth buying UNLESS you are planning to watercool your PC in the future then pick up the reference card because otherwise you will have a lot of trouble finding a waterblock for it. I have no idea as to why it might be discontinued but it IS one of the best cards out there right now.
