Having Performance Issues

My GTX 970 is getting old for sure, but I have always been able to play games well at 1080p. I recently cleaned my PC (dusted, re-applied thermal paste, and did some cable management changes) and since then it seems the performance has been way worse, like sub-sixty worse. Temps have been the same (CPU: 68-73, GPU: 71-76) and nothing else has changed. I know its not a ton to go on, but any insight would be useful.
