Password Managers

spree

I have some questions for you guys

*Do you think password managers are good?

*Is cloud managers less secure than storing locally?

* If yes ^^ what happens if you then instead get a virus on your computer? Wouldn't storing them locally be less safe now?

* Your favorite password manager?

-Thanks!

Your brain is the best, but personally I write them on paper and keep it in my wallet unmarked so if you found my wallet you wouldn’t know what it is

As long as the password manager has encryption and a strong password, either works. The worst thing you could do is store your passwords in plaintext.

lastpass works well enough for me. Don't know if it's too secure, but I just store my "whatever" account passwords on there. They've got really nice cross-platform capabilities, good extensions, and easy strong password generation.

Bank, paypal, any account info related to money I would never trust to be sent to someone else's machine unless I'm buying something from them.

Want to know which mobo to get?

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

KeePass. Keep the file on a nas or usb as well as on your desktop and like any important data back it up regularly.  You can keep it online too if your master password is strong enough.  Mine is over 20 characters and I wouldn't worry if the file got stolen.
