Hey!

I know this is a touchy subject for some, ... Being about Macs and all, But I was wondering if downloading Boot Camp Assistant, Is in fact Safe to do so on your Mac, If anyone has any past experience,

Like id like to know, If you're able to just switch back to iOS at any time, and also switch back to Windows, Reason im asking this is some school programs need Windows, and I was sucked into the wanting to have a mac, So i bought one.

Just wanted to make sure you're not STUCK with Windows, Or like if it crashes or anything if im screwed. !

Thanks!

Boot Camp basically partitions your drive and installs Windows in the new area you set aside. Once this is complete, you can freely switch between Windows and OS X. You can also decide which one the computer will boot into by default.

In my experience, Boot Camp is a pile of garbage that will give you a LOT of trouble installing Windows if you are unlucky. It shouldn't screw up anything on the OS X side, but it might not work properly. I've used it twice. First time, everything went smoothly. Second time, I had to manually install all Windows drivers in a really ghetto fashion and neither side recognized the other partition. Sound was also screwed up on the Windows side.

For beginner dual booters, boot camp is the BEST option for mac/windows dual booting.

It's made by apple, so all of the software you use to set up your windows install will be done correctly for your computer (no compatibility issues, etc.), as well as giving you all of the drivers you need to set up your windows install once it's complete. It allows you to switch between MacOS and Windows once you restart by holding option while booting. It will bring up a boot menu where you can select which OS you want to use.

If you want something that Mac has more of a hands off approach on, you can just use disk utility, set up a new partition, and install windows to that partition.

ONLY Do the second option if you understand how to install multiple partitions properly and FORMAT them properly before installing them. Otherwise you could lose a lot of data, money and time from needing apple to reinstall macOS for you if you brick the drive.

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/
