GTX 1050ti overclock

I can run +1000Mzh on mem clock and +150Mzh on core clock on an evga 1050ti scc is this safe?

ive runned a benchmark for 10 mins and well its......... crazy and somehow stable but my question is , IS IT SAFE?

are you sure the memory clock is +1000, not just +100?

 

but +100/+150 is normal for most GTX models.

 

you might experience random issues, but if you do, just lower the clocks till it gets stable

You might be able to overclock even further than +100/+150...on my laptop I can get the clock speed to go about +185Mhz, it ends up turbo boosting to just over 2Ghz

being that the card is only powered via PCI, it has a strict power limit, and there isnt much headroom for overclocking as it will simply throttle itself anyway. On my older pc i played around with my 1050 ti quite a bit, and at most it was stable up to +190 core and +300 to +500 on the memory depending on the workload. even still, the gains weren't noticeable enough to justify being unstable if you were playing an online game.  

 

If the card isnt happy you will know pretty quick, because it will reset and the screen will flash, that is your warning to back off and try again. If you download GPU-Z under the stats tab it will tell you why its throttling whether its thermal or power or the like.
