Stuck in safe mode

waggythegeek

A friend of mine booted into safe mode without networking using system configuration. He then forgot his password, and as such can't get into windows to disable safe mode. Any tips?

Just a guy who peaked at building back in the days of the GTX 980. If you see me here, assume i have technical knowledge akin to a committed hobbyist builder back then. If something's changed, you'll need to tell me(nicely plz). I'm probably asking for help with the modern build scene since I have no clue what's going on.

What version of Windows? I've used a Trinity Rescue Kit once to reset the password on my mum's laptop after she forgot her password. That was years ago, though.

If you're using a Windows Live (or whatever it's called nowadays) account, the Trinity Rescue Kit cannot help you. However, it can get local accounts unlocked.

Resident smart (car) fanatic and lover of trijet airliners. One day you'll probably see me on one of those "Hoarders" shows, only I'm buried under a pile of 50 smart cars.
