I need a good piece of software or something that runs on FreeBSD. I would like an OVA/OVF. I've got around 25 mailboxes. Using Exchange 2010 as our email server

SpamAssassin, http://spamassassin.apache.org/, set it up years ago on a Linux server I put in for firewall purposes. Works really well, you can also integrate it with ClamAV for AV scanning, which you can also do with Squid + DansGuardian. L7Filter is another nice one to look at.

 

Also make sure you setup SpamAssassin for email training, you can forward spam that gets through to train it so it learns and gets better.

 

If you want a nice easy install I think Sophos UTM uses SpamAssassin, free for home use. Not sure if Sophos XG uses it so check out both. Pfsense also has it.
