My pc recently posted but then when I connect some peripherals it crashed,

So I have reason to believe its the towers power switch malfunctioning.

I also got some info of the motherboard too since it posted today.

  • check to make sure slowly (or quick) for each part, say if you need to buy some ram and just to try then refund it to see if it's that
  • make sure your cpu isn't fried (google is useful for this ig, and a replacement cpu)
  • make sure it not your gpu, plug in to mobo and try to boot, if it work then, it's your gpu
  • make sure your drive didnt shit
  • hope that helps <3

If his drive didn't shit itself he should still be able to get into the BIOS and a message saying that it could not find a bootable drive.

If it is the graphics card then yeah, try plugging the monitor into the motherboard HDMI / Display port / DVI.

If the power botton is pressed and turns the fans and any HDD on to full power / RPM. Then it is most likely a POST issue so you can narrow it down to CPU, RAM or Mobo. However if nothing happens, it could signify that the PSU is damaged or not plugged in properly.

That's easy enough to check.  Unplug the power switch's connector on the motherboard.  You can boot the PC by briefly shorting those 2 pins with a screwdriver or any other metal object that's roughly the right size (remember, the switch only closes the circuit when the button is pressed down, once you release it, it stops making contact.  So you only need a brief pulse, no need to keep the pins shorted).

If the power switch is faulty, it should boot properly once you disconnect it and manually boot it.

The power switch pins are on the top row of the front panel header (bottom right corner of the motherboard), 3rd and 4th pin from the left.  The reset switch is right below those, if your case has a reset switch I'd disconnect that too just to make sure.

Reset your cmos.

If you're interested in a product please download and read the manual first.
