I have a DVD-RAM disk (a format I never even heard of before finding it) and I wanted to play it. It plays on my LG disk drive in my desktop with some issues using VLC Media Player. Just playing the whole storage media doesn't work, even with VLC and I get an error message. When I go into the disk's files, there's a file called VR_MOVIE that's a .vro file that's about 1.2 GB. There's other very small files on the disk, but I can't open them with anything. The VR_MOVIE file plays perfectly until the next video comes up. After the first video, it just stops playing unless you move the video elapsed button thing (I honestly have no idea what it's formally called. The round thing that shows how far you are into a video. Will refer to it as "it".). When you do move "it", it will either do a number of things:

1. It will play the next video normally with some (I think) time skipped.

2. It will play the next video, but the audio will stop working.

3. It will play the next video, but the audio will be out of sync.

4. It won't play the next video, gets stuck, but is resolved if you move "it" again.

5. It won't play the next video, gets stuck, and VLC stops trying to play the file. VLC doesn't freeze itself, but everything just stops working.

So naturally, I tried converting the file from .vro to something more standard and I get variable results. Sometimes everything after the first video just drops out; audio gets out of sync after the first video; audio disappears; later videos get dropped if; and who knows what else. I tried copying it from the disk tonight and it worked! Yesterday when I tried to do it, it got stuck after a certain point for some reason no matter how many times I tried. I assume my disk drive can read it since, well, it can read it. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong? There's no indication of data corruption other than the weird video playback. Unfortunately, I have dozens of these laying around somewhere with hours of video from my childhood, so some help would be appreciated. At the very least, I'd like to convert the videos so I can watch/send them easily. As of now, it's just weird and haven't been able to find any pertinent information about it via google; just a bunch of threads about it from the mid-2000's, which is when these were all recorded. Some help would be appreciated to solve my issues. Thanks!
