Which CPU cooler?

Go to solution Solved by MMNIJONAH,

Bought a H80i.

Hello people

I didn't know which thread this was meant to go in but anyway I am looking for a CPU cooler that will keep my cpu at a reasonable temp while being OC'ed to hopefully 4.3 to 4.5 ghz but

it has to fit in my machine all the specs are in the signature.

I  have been looking at the Phanteks PH-TC14PE and the Noctua NH-D14 and some various other air coolers and all in one liquid cooling loops.

All recommendations or advice is greatly appreciated.

It is the standard tall heat spreader.

Do not get the NH-D14 nor Dark Rock Pro. The ram wioll not be compatible. If you like, the NH-U14S or NH-U12S will be able to fit.

Are you sure those coolers could keep and i7 at an acceptable temperature while Overclocked

Yes but the 212 Evo would do.

no it won't, not at pleasing sound levels

Have you used one? With any decent case airflow, it's pretty quiet.

they can't handle the heat of a I7 at 4.4ghz the cooler is gonna be at 100% under any kind of load

Not at all....

Show me where you're getting your data. There are plenty of users on the forum pushing 4.4-4.6 ghz with the 212 Evo just fine without high fan speeds.

with a I7 4770k a lot of them can give off a lot of heat at the speed he wants

The OP isn't using a 4770k.
