Frame drops and stuttering

So I need some help finding out what’s going on with my system for instance when I start up diablo 3 after 5 minutes of playing I get little stutters that happen randomly I’ve checked temperatures they seem fine idle and gaming and there’s also quite a few other games that are having this issue as well with frame drops such as wildlands and kingdom come deliverance my system specifications are 

i5-7600k 3.8ghz no OC

MSI Z270 Sli plus MOBO

MSI GTX 1070 aero 8gb no OC 

16gb patriot viper RAM 

250gb ssd

1tb hdd 

650watt thortech thunderbolt 80 plus gold psu

well that system should be capable of running stuff like D3 without any trouble. Mine is about the same and D3 runs at 60 FPS at 3440x1440 (actually I don't know how many frames D3 can deliver. Monitor can only do 60).

 

have you stress tested the hardware yet? maybe that will yield some clue.

From my (limited) experience, sudden frame drops most likely come from throttling or data is not delivered fast enough (drives).

- Limit diablo III FPS with the slider in the ingame menu. (~10above your monitor refreshrate)

- Go to d3prefs.txt in your documents folder and set "Hardwareclass" to "1"

- dont use Antialising via diablo III game menu.
