Problems connecting to new router

Go to solution Solved by ItsTheDuckAgain,

-1-

check if the lights are blinking when you plug in the cable on your RJ45 port. no lights = no electrical connect = no pewpew internet. Also check on the router side. (if one isde is blinking and the other is not: you are looking at the wrong cable :-) )

-2-

run this on command prompt:
ipconfig /release

ipconfig /flushdns

ipconfig /renew

-3-

remove the network card in your hardware manager and restart the system. Windows will install the drivers again.

-4-

lan cable plugged in the new router? maybe it's plugged into a dedicated uplink-port, depends on the model. anyway, try a different one.

-5-

restart everything

i used to survive on a 4mbps connection and was tortured by it. so i considered changing my plan to a 100mbps one. so the people came and did stuff and its working fine on my mobile and tablet. but its not connecting to my computer through lan. idk its having some problems cuz when i plug the lan cable in it says "identifying...". i am utterly comfused on what to do. please help.
