So im 16, 17 in july, and been workin on this for a few weeks...

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/thedemonspawn56/saved/HXkKZL

Also slap windows 10 on there!

Ill have enough for this in june or july(my bday is on the 17th(17 on tha 17th=D)

But i have a few questions, i aim for 60fps i think(i normaly play ps3, so if its only like 45 i dont think ill mind(ps3 (exept bo2 caps at 30)).

-Also, my lil bro has a ps4 i play from time 2 time...

-Is a 1440p monitor worth it?(i have a 1080p rn)

-On older games(skyrim, fallout 4, thoes sorts of games) could it do ultra or vHigh? At 60fps/45(if not how high could i put the settings?

-And i REALLY want to play Black Ops 4 when it comes out, (1440p at anything but the lowest settings possable?)

-also on there i put 2 things of ram, is the more expensive one worth the $$$?

Any help is appreaciated, i like to fool myself into thinking i know everything about ps's but i dont...

And im pretty confident in my ability to put it all together.

Thanks!

you can probly check some benchmarks to see if 3200 is worth the money over 2400 RAM. I really doubt the gain will justify $60 more money. And why 4x4 not 2x8? you could get 3000 2x8 RAM with $190

you should get ssd for your OS and some common software/game for better load time. its worth the money.

1 Correction to make...

- you chose 2x 16 gb sets of 4 modules, making it 32 gb with 8 sticks... the mobo only handles 4 sticks. ah I read further in your post, try to get your 16 gb with 2x 8 gb sticks, so you can upgrade in the future. As for which will give you more performance, the more expensive set will.

2. small advise

- your chosen HDD the Seagate constellation is a kind of archive drive, slow, cheap, much space, not built for normal to heavy usage.

3. on mobo choice

- that's your decision =) I would go for an asrock board, fatal1ty or taichi... known to be happier with different rams

4. the psu

- 850 watts is plain overkill for your build. 650 watts would be well enough and even enough space to add lots of stuff later.

Main System:

Anghammarad : Asrock Taichi x570, AMD Ryzen 7 5800X @4900 MHz. 32 GB DDR4 3600, some NVME SSDs, Gainward Phoenix RTX 3070TI

System 2 "Igluna" AsRock Fatal1ty Z77 Pro, Core I5 3570k @4300, 16 GB Ram DDR3 2133, some SSD, and a 2 TB HDD each, Gainward Phantom 760GTX.

System 3 "Inskah" AsRock Fatal1ty Z77 Pro, Core I5 3570k @4300, 16 GB Ram DDR3 2133, some SSD, and a 2 TB HDD each, Gainward Phantom 760GTX.

On the Road: Acer Aspire 5 Model A515-51G-54FD, Intel Core i5 7200U, 8 GB DDR4 Ram, 120 GB SSD, 1 TB SSD, Intel CPU GFX and Nvidia MX 150, Full HD IPS display

Media System "Vio": Aorus Elite AX V2, Ryzen 7 5700X, 64 GB Ram DDR4 3200 Mushkin, 1 275 GB Crucial MX SSD, 1 tb Crucial MX500 SSD. IBM 5015 Megaraid, 4 Seagate Ironwolf 4TB HDD in raid 5, 4 WD RED 4 tb in another Raid 5, Gainward Phoenix GTX 1060

(Abit Fatal1ty FP9 IN SLI, C2Duo E8400, 6 GB Ram DDR2 800, far too less diskspace, Gainward Phantom 560 GTX broken need fixing)

Nostalgia: Amiga 1200, Tower Build, CPU/FPU/MMU 68EC020, 68030, 68882 @50 Mhz, 10 MByte ram (2 MB Chip, 8 MB Fast), Fast SCSI II, 2 CDRoms, 2 1 GB SCSI II IBM Harddrives, 512 MB Quantum Lightning HDD, self soldered Sync changer to attach VGA displays, WLAN

With a GTX 1070? Sure. But you'll be floating around 50-60 FPS in most recent (as in within the last year) AAA titles on the lowest setting below maximum.

Where 1440p is really nice is on the desktop. The increased real estate is amazing. Two side by side windows actually feels workable.

Yes, easily.

Call of Duty developers are really good at optimizing their engines. I managed to get 60 FPS on Advanced Warfare when I detuned my CPU so low it said that the CPU wouldn't be up to snuff.

Not really. And you should get a 8GBx2 kit. This leaves room for more RAM if you want.

You should get a 2x8GB kit of RAM instead of 8x4GB, and do you really need 4 gigantic case fans?

1. try finding 2x8gb ram kits instead of 4x4gb ( generally this option is cheaper ), ofc if you like the aesthetics of 4 ram kits than go for 4gb, and for speed 3200 is really good but if you can find 3000mhz ones buy those they must be cheaper.

2. that powersupply is an overkill, go for 450wats one, maybe 500wats one if you plan to put some crazy upgrades later.

3. buy 1070ti instead of 1070 and overclock it, you will get gaming power similar to a non overclocked 1080 with this.

4. only buy overclockable cpu and motherboard if you plan to overclock otherwise its a waste of money.

5. buy an ssd so you can put your windows there along with the games that you play on daily basis

June is months away, don't bother planning until 1-2 weeks before you'll purchase the parts. Prices and availability changes, and new parts come out.

If you can afford it, 1440p is worth it. Try to get a 165Hz G-sync monitor, alternatively a Freesync monitor if Vega comes back down in price.

A 1070 should be able to run pretty much any game at 1080p60 at ultra, and should be fine for 1440p.

The 1070 is definitely 1440p capable, no reason to run at low settings.

Don't get 4GB sticks of RAM. Get a ≥2800MHz kit, brand doesn't matter.

As for feedback on the list.

Don't get a 240mm AiO. Either get a good air cooler, or get a 280-360mm AiO.

CPU coolers come with TIM, no need to buy extra.

The Pro Carbon is fine, but if you can, get something like a Prime A or Extreme4.

RAM already mentioned.

Get an SSD.

Don't get an overpriced HDD. Just get the cheapest 7200RPM 64MB cache HDD.

Don't get the 1070 if the 1070 Ti is available for not much more. It performs ~25% better. If you can't afford it, change the CPU to the 8400 and use the stock cooler.

850W is way overkill. 400W is plenty for a 1080. Something like the RM550x would make way more sense.

Don't bother adding a billion fans, it won't improve thermals significantly

:)
