I've got a budget of $2079 for a PC

I've got a budget of $2079 and wanna build a pc with all this money that can game on 1440p 120fps.

I just need some directions in the right way.

Just before the prices of the gpu(s) went up because of the crypto-currency miners, I was planning of buying the EVGA GTX 1080Ti FTW3 which was around $800 at that time, and which is also right now around $1500.

I also was planning for a 8th Gen i5 CPU from Intel, 16GB RAM from G.skill (trident z RGB), and something like a 1TB HDD + 256GB SSD. As for the rest of the stuff I still didn't take them in consideration, but I thought about RGB case fans.

 

If my choices of hardware are a bit too overkill or are a bit too bad, then give me some advices and point me in the right direction. You can even suggest me some builds that I can game on to play on 1440p 120fps.

(This is all about the PC build, away from any accessories like mice, keyboards, and monitors)
