Static Electricity

Hey, im going to start building my PC today and I dont exactly know what would be an easy way to remove static electricity from my body...

If i just put a metal paper clip on my hand will it help or what should i do? And dont suggest a anti static wrist band please...

Keep your hands dry and touch large metal objects, like the case or PSU.

 

Once you get used to building PCs, you no longer care about statics....

SuperPi (v1.5 from Techpowerup, PI value output) 16K: 0.100s 1M: 8.255s 32M: 7m 45.93s

Seriously tho, if you are concerned the Static wrist strap is a good option.

Does the psu have to be connected to electrical and be on?

Make sure the PC case is grounded though as touching the case will only transfer it to the case, which is useless if it then cant go anywhere else.

the PSU needs to be grounded, so yes you need to plug it in. Dont need to be on though
