I am torn between getting a Western Digital - Caviar Blue  1TB 3.5" 7200RPM hard drive, or a Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive for my build. The hard drive is like 50 dollars cheaper plus it's a lot bigger, but the SSD looks good too. Please help.

It totally depends on the bitrate of your workload, but considering it's 2018, I would get an SSD as a system drive and the moment you start needing extra space you can get an HD for archiving/ slow storage. :)

If you don't need the speed of an HDD I would recommend this: https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-BarraCuda-3-5-Inch-Internal-ST2000DM006/dp/B01IEKG402/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1518754210&sr=8-3&keywords=seagate+2tb+internal+hard+drive

It does cost $14 more than a 1tb drive but it has double the storage.

Just gaming and watching videos/movies

Do you car about the load times of these games and movies? And will these movies/ videos be stored on your computer or streamed over the internet?
