What HDMI Cable is compatible?

Jayliss

I just replaced my gaming desktop with a gaming laptop. Yes IK a laptop... (I am going to uni and my parents are split so a laptop is just easier alright) I am looking for a HDMI cable compatible with a 165hz monitor. What cable is compatible?

Pretty much all HDMI cables available now days will support up to HDMI 2.0 fully and HDMI 2.1 partially.

There are category 1 and category 2 cables (and new 48G cables coming for HDMI 2.1's increased bandwidth features). Pretty much every cable you'll find now days is going to be category 2, which supports all current HDMI revisions fully (excluding HDMI 2.1 here as it's not really current), provided it is made to spec.

So, most likely, your current cable will support HDMI 2.0 just fine. Just important to note there is no such thing as an HDMI 2.0 or HDMI 1.4 cable, so don't get hung up on that.
