Hi all, so I'm making a jump a bit into old but still very unexplored territory for me. The last time I worked with TEC cooling setups was about maybe 11 years ago. I'm looking at it again since CPU temps with each series of new hardware are going up to temps I saw 11 years ago and higher. So to improve the longevity of my investment, I want to keep the temps down to at most 60-70 C range at highest. Straight liquid cooling can do for the ost part just as well, still I'm looking at TEC to help shrink some of the plumbing infrastructure of my builds. I've worked with water blocks that fit TEC pads, and Water chiller setups using TEC.

The issue I am running into now though is that TEC setups have fallen a lot out of favore it seems, limiting the hardware options, so I am going to deffer to the advice here for my next course of action, and list what I am looking at as a possible setup.

TEC pad on GPU and CPU between a cold plate and the water block, TEC sizes for CPU are full coverage, same for GPU, same for water blocks, Option 1 Water blocks for CPU and GPU feed into a TEC water chiller, which feeds into the High dissipation Radiator(s). Option 2, TEC augmented blocks feed directly into Radiator(s) no middle TEC water chiller. The idea on the Water chiller option is that the water chiller keeps the heat radiating side of the TEC pads on the Chip and Card cool enough to improve efficiency and lower the chance of a heat saturation, this also if I was to cool the Chipsets and RAM allow for lower temps on the Verses if I was to do it on the second option idea.

The other Idea I was thinking on this if can be done, is to do this all as a custom built Modular AIO Closed loop, Similar to what EK offers, but with much Higher cooling potential.

I know this is a confusing mess of a post, but baring my poor skills at explaining my thoughts, I hope this is explained out well enough to be understood as to what I am theorizing and researching on trying to do.

Thanks all for the help and putting up with my scatter-plot rambling thoughts.

People don’t use Peltier modules anymore because they require too much power compared to the results they give. You may as well go with a refrigerant loop instead since that’d give much better results than using a pelted module.
