Go to solution Solved by daimonie,

A good aftermarket cooler might help. The stock cooler should be sufficient, though.

Quick question i have decided to up grade to the i7-8700K Coffee Lake however i am concerned about cooling. I am looking for the best or most efficient cooling solutions for this processor as i have been told while not even over clocked it has very high heat. This will be used for streaming and playing game son one pc. So just looking for best cooling and i have a short 200$ budget as i am purchasing this CPU. Thank in advance.

The stock cooler will be enough technically, but loud. I'd suggest investing in an aftermarket cooler, you don't have to spend that much on it if you don't plan on overclocking, just take your time and find the one that does proper cooling at most quiet levels.

Though you should really ask yourself if you really won't overclock, as many times the answer may turn out that you probably will with such processor.

Asus X99-A w/ BIOS 3402 | Intel i7 5820k OC @4.4GHz 1.28V w/ Noctua NH-U14S | 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 OC @2666MHz 12-14-14-28 | Asus Geforce GTX970 STRIX OC | EVGA 750 G2 750W | Samsung 850 Evo 1 TB | Windows 10 64-bit | Be-Quiet Silent Base 800 w/ Silent Wings | 2x Dell U2414H OC @72Hz w/ Display Port

Don't forget to invest in an Intel Tuning Plan if you're going to overvolt your K/X CPU
