Can I post render frames from a game?

Hi,

I like making short kerbal space program cinematics. I use a lot of graphics intensive mods and can run the game at 1080p with around 30-40 fps. But I was wondering if there is a way for me to "record" a clip of the game, say 10 seconds. Then later I can render those 10 seconds at a higher frame rate / resolution not in real time. Maybe nVidia has some technology that makes this possible?

I don't think that is possible I could be wrong but I don't think it is.

30-40FPS and you want to have your card render at a higher resolution and framerate on top of that for an effective second screen? It's already running the highest frame rate it can...

A: Have you not googled it? Are you sure StackOverflow doesn't have an answer? Does the error tell you what's wrong? If the answer is no to all of those, message me.

I mean like, rendering frames from a game not in real-time. So the graphics card can have as long as it needs to spit out 60 frames.

If you don't do it in real time the data is lost. The best that could be done would be some form of interpolation or image processing + algorithms to predict what the frames in between were, and I don't think there is a program that does that. It'd be easier to just get a better GPU that is capable of producing the framerates and resolution you want and recording that.
