GPU usage Maxing out?

So I guess playing at 1440p at 144Hz is really maxing out your GPU. So either you play on your side panel (1080p 60Hz) or you can upgrade your GPU/get another PC just for streaming.

It just doesn't seem LIke that would max out a gtx 1080. Or i'm just looking at my 1080 likes its more powerful than it is.

Well ... Although I'm also using a GTX 1080, but I have never max it out before. But then again, my display are like 1080p60Hz so ... Haha. But then 1440p144Hz plus 2 x 1080p60Hz (side panel) does seems quite stressful to handle. Not to mentioned you are also streaming it ... What game were you streaming by the way? As long as it's not PUBG, then there might be some fixes.

Would a capture card help at all this situation?

The truth is, I don't stream. Well at least not yet. So I don't think I am in any position to comment if a capture card will help or not. Hopefully some one who knows this can answer it here. :) But then again in theory, the capture card should be able to lesser the workload on your GPU. By how much, that I do not know. :( Sorry.

Anyway, just google it and realized that the capture card actually does not help in a Single PC (which is your case). Capture card will help when you have 2 PC (1 to game on and the other to stream).

I guess it's either you play with your side panel that are 1080p60Hz or you can start planning on another PC for your streaming. :P On a bright side, at least you can still do it. Some people can't even stream due to low specs hardware.

Yea! It's just crazy how I went from running 1080p60fps stream to barely getting 720p60fps xD damn 1440p 144hz i want to return you, but you're so pretty

Like I said you're making the GPU churn out almost 4.3x as many pixels per second and while that won't necessarily have a linear relationship with GPU usage, it will undoubtedly increase it significantly, as well as the CPU usage

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

A second pc is looking like a very good option lol Looks like i'll just have to switch main displays every now and again so i can stream a good quality.
