Microphone help

I currently have a atr-2500 and I have it on a shock mount, which is screwed onto a Neewer arm stand. The issue is that my microphone is picking alot of vibration which makes it sound like background noise. As I take streaming more seriously, it is becoming more frustrating. Do I need a better shock mount or arm stand?

Maybe try attaching it to an object your not causing to vibrate as much?

I only can attach it to my desk, nothing else is near. :\

Try messing around with some settings, I'm not sure if a different arm or shock mount would help. Other might know.

If its the same arm as I have, theres a bunch of springs around the arm, I ziptied those down and it eliminated any random noise pickup.

 

Make sure it really is connected to something sturdy though.

so you zip tied the springs down to the arm? how many? it is sturdy, i tightened it to my desk

It looks like I put one zip tie on each set of springs.
