Computer Case Boxes and ESD

Anyone who has a good handle on ESD, I have a question. When I take a brand new case out of its original box, the bag always creates a huge static discharge. I was wondering, if I built a PC, and use the cases original box and bag to ship it somewhere, would ESD build up again and potentially kill the system?
