I run an AMD A10 6800K as the title says. I'm curious about the temps I'm reading though. When I power my system on and enter the bios it already gives me a reading of 60-65C. After start-up in HWMonitor I gave me a reading of 71C. If I look at AMD Overdrive though the thermal margin seems absolutely fine with about 69C left. I'm not the savviest when it comes to temps but these reading seem to contradict the bios/HWM readings don't they?

When I try gaming HWM reaches 95C+ while AMD Overdrive will list a thermal margin of 20-25C and that's running Elder Scrolls Online. If I run a more demanding game HMW will go 100C+ and the Overdrive thermal margins will drop to 5-15C. Also When I check the air coming from my rear exhaust fan it is warm but it doesn't feel worryingly hot or anything. It's also worth noting that the games don't dip in performance but the stock cooler gets leaf blower loud.

I'm not too sure what to make of this. I've also included a screenshot of my idle readouts.

Well if the cooler goes leafblower sound level, its ok. It's supposed to do that.

+Reseat heatsink

+Replace TIM is necessary.

+Do not let your voltage go above 1.5V

+Make sure your CPU cooler is connected to CPU_FAN header in the motherboard.

I overclocked similar parts and yes stock cooler is noisy (AMD history of stock heatsinks is like that) but 100ºC is a lot for 4.4Ghz.
