so my GIGABYTE AB350-HD3 so it has 4 4 pin fan connectors

-SYS FAN -CPU FAN -SYS FAN 2 -SYS FAN 3 PUMP

 

my question is can you plug in a fan hub on the SYS FAN 3 PUMP its not hd but hey

It's meant for pumps, not fans so no.

Just connect it to a system fan header.

You probably can. But try and see if you can change the power output of the pump header as pump uses less than fan hub.

it says

SYS FAN 3 PUMP

so i guess its pump of a fan. you can always try nothing bad should happen.

 

if it doesnt work you can also try connecting a fan to in and the hub in a fan header

I have a very similar board , the ab350 gaming 3 ( its basically the ATX variant of this board ) . From memory , that header can accept a pump OR a fan, so yes , it'll work . A hub should also be fine because the header is meant for use with a pump ( which does draw quite a bit ) anyway.
