Programming communities

StackOverflow is one of them. It is a great resource. But are there any other platforms that you think is good? Dreamincode is one of them. But I know not any other.

for example asking about windows API can be done here and you will get answers but likley somebody at msdn have ask it before if it is a common problem. Asking at msdn about amd driver issue with opengl is total wast of time.

So what your saying is we need a community that being a everything together and what you search a question it searches all the sites for answers? 

 

That being said I do agree that the documentation for the thing you're using is a great place to start.

That's why many programmers I've met in that age group are extremely good and magically know how everything works.

I'm sure, as an entity, the collection of generally very good programmers that Google is comprised of, knows quite a bit about writing programs.
