Game crashes

So I've been having this problem randomly for about a year or so now. With certain games (fallout 4 and Witcher 3, occasionally PUBG), they boot up just fine and load in beautifully, but once I hit any button on my keyboard the game freezes instantly and I have to end task to shut it off. The part I find odd is if I plug in a controller in and use that it works fine I can play no problem, as long as I don't breathe too heavy on any of my keys. I'm at my wit's end here and haven't found any solutions in my hrs of digging through forums.
