Hard decision

Hey, so I have some money to spend to ugrade my PC, and I want to buy a good GPU. I thought of something like a GTX 760 2Gb edition, but I thought someone would recommend me a better card for that price. Im asking you, to help me pickup a relatively cheap GPU that can run eSports titles such as CSGO, Rocket League, and some open word titles like GTA V for around 105-110$.

 

Specs:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X2 220

Mobo: Some old DDR3 AM3 OEM mobo

RAM: 12GB of DDR3 RAM 1600Mhz

Don't even think about running gta5  with a 760. But overall, looks good for csgo and rocket league.

I've heard from people that the gtx 760 isn't actually that bad for GTA V, I mean 1080p with low/medium settings won't dissapoint me, if I get over 60fps...

I can't prove if it will be on 60fps. You might get away with medium settings.

Is it worth it to buy a GTX 760 these days, if not, what should I buy? (to improve my overall gaming quality)

You are not going to get 1080p/60 in most titles with that CPU, especially GTAV, no matter what graphics card you put beside it. A 760 and Phenom x2?? You're a dreamer. My Phenom x4 955 and RX 460 4gb pull 1080p/60/High depending where I'm at but it's mostly around the 40 range. Lowering resolution and textures doesn't make it any better, actually worse because the GPU is doing less work. GTAV is very CPU intensive.

My suggestion is get the 760 or 750ti AFTER dealing with the rest of that rig.
