Motherboards shouldn't be coming with any bloatware. You can decide what drivers/software to download and install from the manufacturer's website.

OK so I have gigabyte mobo with appcent software I am wondering if I need this software? Appcent is using some of my processing power but I think it is too much since it does some shit while I am playing games and it may disturb my performance.

I was wondering which mobo brand offers least to none bloatware for their products. Cause I am tired of figuring out what my machine needs/not to work afap. Thanks for replies hope you guys find something for me!

Don't use the included CD, go to the manifacturer site and download drivers from there.

You don't have to install any programs in the CD, just the drivers.

And i suggest you install the latest drivers from the website not the cd, the cd usually contains the oldest version of the drivers.

Most of the time i never touch the mobo CD, windows 10 will take care of the basic drivers to run the mobo.

If something not running, i go to the website and install the required drivers.

Drivers you should install / update:

- Motherboard Chipset drivers (go to intel or amd website for the most latest)

- SATA drivers (may included in chipset drivers)

- Audio drivers (look for realtek hd audio / ac97 etc)

- Network Drivers

- Onboard GPU (if any)

- IO (usb port, firewire, etc)

You don't really need to install those bloatware unless you need to conveniently control something from the APP Center like RGB lighting or overclocking.

All motherboard function can be accessed through bios screen anyway.
