I am using a 12-inch Sub on the second floor of my house. but, the people downstairs are complaining of hearing it and it shaking the doors/windows. it is on the carpet and the floor is pretty thick wood and metal. does anyone know of any isolation pads or other non-ghetto solutions other than turning it down?

It's base. That deep boom & rumble you have it for, and like so much, is exactly the reason it travels so well to the people downstairs. Headphones or turn it down :(

If you're interested in a product please download and read the manual first.

I know you said you don't want ghetto solutions, but I would suggest you try either a yoga mat or, even better, some yoga blocks.

Those will isolate the subwoofer from the floor, and thereby minimize the downstairs rumbling. And it does it rather cheaply.

For a more clean solution you could buy some spring or spike legs to install on the subwoofer.

It will look cleaner than the yoga mat/blocks and it'll achieve the same goal.

Or he could isolate it like he's wanting to do.
