Only recording on left side

So long story short my hyperx cloud 2's only record to one audio channel when i use audacity or shadowplay (everything else works fine like discord, skype, etc)

i've reinstalled windows since the problem started and tried in different pc's and the mic works fine there, updated drivers and tried changing audio settings and cables.

Any idea what could fix it?

Your headset has MONO microphone, hence only one channel in Audacity.

 

Skype and similar programs just distribute the microphone sound to both channels.

i can only put it on 2 channel audio in microphone settings in windows though, so shadowplay for example can't be fixed at all?

edit: it also records in stereo on my laptop so don't see why it wouldn't work on my main
