High Idle CPU Usage in Windows 8.1

Go to solution Solved by gramzon,

I've had this problem too, it's most likely a driver/software causing this. Mine was my network driver in particular, i reinstalled it and the problem went away.

Hi guys,

My laptop X201 has 40% CPU utilisation at idle. The processes using up juice are "Remote Procedure Call" and "Service Host: Local System". I've scanned the laptop with Malwarebytes and Windows Defender. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I recently installed a Intel 6300. I'll reinstall the drivers now.
