Ive got a kraken x52 and forgot that i need to power the two fans that came with it xD. i have the asus Z97-k Motherboard it supports 1x cpu header and 2x Chassis header but i cant find anywhere in the specifactions to show me how much power the header can handle at the moment i have 2x PWM 2 Way Fan splitters to power 4 fans in my Corsair Crystal 570X but now i need to buy a 2x PWM 3 way Fan splitters to potentially power 6 fans from 2x chassis headers but im worried about killing the header if i buy a 3 way splitter by drawing too much power from it ?

I had the same problem with z170-k...

I bought a MOLEX to 4*4-pin fan header (2 on 12v and 2 on 5v) I connected the pump on 12v header and the fans on 5v after it just go into bios and disable CPU fan error on boot

i wouldnt be able to control RPM then ?

why would you want it, its very quiet ( kraken x52 )

I am not sure that it can handle the pump and the fans its a budget z97 mobo (u can go and connect only the pump in the cpu header and the fans in the chassis connectors)

Bottom of page 1-15 and top of page 1-16 of the manual says that the CPU header is 1 amp. Assuming it's like the Asus boards I have, they should all be 1 amp.

thanks i found it now so it says it supports 1Amp which is 12 watts but the specifications for my fans are 7v - 13.2v how do i calculate the wattage from volts?image.thumb.png.c346c039f2fc4c017902f8da182a7e47.pngimage.thumb.png.3e0b0405a70a58fb34a41d9a8d1d7100.png

I'm not sure. That's a rather crap spec sheet.

Other than the RGB, I imagine it wouldn't be all that much different from one of Noctua's 120mm 1500RPM static pressure focused fans which cap at 0.05A draw meaning 3 fans on a single header shouldn't be an issue.
