Best Program To Record?

PillowSmoke

what's the best program to record with a little or no performance hit, and small file sizes because when I use fraps there is a significant amount of fps decrease and large files that aren't really suitable for rendering. Same goes with dxtory with the lagiriath loseless codec every minute Is about equivalent to a gig in size. Is there any other program out there that will record in good-high quality while at the same time maintaining a low performance hit and small file size?

they aren't programs they require that he needs a kepler card which by chance he might not have.. Read the question again, it asks which PROGRAM. Not a utility in a driver

But he could still use it in geforce experience just like a program and it does the exact same, he also never said what specs he had so I was just going out on a limb

Hope I could help!

Alright I watched the video and followed everything. A one minute video equals to about 1 gig. That's pretty huge.

If you have a Kepler-based GPU (like at GTX 660 or higher)  then use Shadowplay. Remember though, it only records up to 20 minutes.

Anything longer, or if you don't have a high end GTX card or use AMD, then I would recommend MSI Afterburner.  I use it to record all the time for things longer than 20 minutes. Works fine for me. Plus, it's free. :)

If you want a paid program, Fraps is always a good choice.

Shadowplay can record an unlimited amount of footage (limited only by storage space) as long as you set it to record in Manual mode.

I've never used manual mode since I use MSI Afterburner.   Didn't know that.  Thanks for clearing that up for me :)
