RAM Upgrade

Hey. I want to buy more ram to my PC, but I can't find out what type of ram I should get so i am asking you all to help me. I want to get 8gb more ram (then i'll have 16gb)

Download CPU-Z and check at the memory page what kind of memory do you have. What name, what CL etc.

Also I have 4 slots

as per the specs of the pc - it looks like it might only have two SO-DIMM slots (smaller sized RAM, like what laptops use)

As mentioned earlier check with software like CPU-Z to see if you currently have a single 8GB ram stick or two 4GB sticks

most likely you have one single 8GB slot thats hidden behind the GPU

the second ram slot is on the backside of the motherboard

I would recommend looking at crucial's memory picker as it may give you some good advice for as to which kit you should get:

The absolute minimum for RAM to be compatible (besides physical difference of course) is voltage. If timings and speeds are different then they will both default to the lower speed and timings.

Yup, looks fine

feel free to double check review of this corsair model as well as the other Gskill products, its only a few dollars difference
