PC function as eGPU?

So, weird question. Can a PC function as an external GPU?

My work laptop is a Lenovo Yoga model, which means that it has built in wacom support for the screen. However, it has a i7-7500U and no video card. 

I'm wondering if it is possible to hook it up to a new PC and use its video card over thunderbolt. I will have a new desktop PC soon, and this might influence choices.

wouldn't it be easier to use something like steam streaming? the all point of egpus is when you do not have a complete PC. If you have it i don't see the need to do this.

It's to allow graphics acceleration by egpu with the wacom functions that are on the laptop.

Based on the above website, it is not possible. I didn't notice this before, but they explicitly state:

Continues the argument - I looked for "DIY egpu" this time.

Apparently, some people think "Buy videocard, put videocard in enclosure" is DIY. 


It seems that this can't be done, because the controller is not available to consumers.
