Cloning, back-up software.

Pretty straight forward, bought my mother a laptop again. Wanting to clone or back up everything so I can install an ssd.

Would just reinstall the os again but its different with all her info she doesn't remember.

Any decent programs I can get for this, Ill buy it if I have to.

Ive bought one before that came with software for it but it was advertised as such, just getting a cheap small one for her as it doesn't need to be nice.

pretty sure there's some programs, but if you copy stuff from all three folders from appdata and the shite from the personal folders.
Im not 100% sure, but you should be able to robocopy the whole C drive to another one, given there's enough room. Atleast the user folder can be moved this way and it should come with the appdata folders that way

I already have the easeus data recovery wizard. So scan the old drive and recover it to the ssd? Or is there a specific program from them I should use?

I would recommend Acronis, I have been cloning my drives for years and it’s never let me down.

I have a cue light I can use to show you when I’m joking, if you like.

I'd just use it to clone everything to the SSD (there should be a clone option). You could always backup files before you do it (Either with Window's File History or manually), but I've never had issues with cloning before.
