Make sure the tab isn't in the way of the thing at the end as well.

lol, give it a little just push it until you hear a click, but first take the graphics card out and push it in slot again.

If you have thumb screws on the back bracket, take them out, push the card in a screw the thumb screws back in.

I think it is bent because it doesn't want to stay in even when I take it out

If you have tried everything and it wont stay in, get in contact with the store you bought it from.
