New computer build, wont boot.

Hi. I have just putt together a new machine.

 

New HW:

Intel Core i7 4930K

Asus Rampage IV Gene

Kingston HyperX Beast PC12800/1600MHz CL9 XMP

 

From the old PC:

Asus Radeon 6950

Fractal Design Newton R2 650W

 

When I press the Start button on the MB the fans start, and I get an error on the MB 00, and the CPU feil LED is on. I RMA'd the CPU and got a new today. Still the same. I think I have flashed the BIOS on the MB to allow the newer CPU.

 

Any one have any idea on what I can be, or how to get it going ?

oh and I did also try the ram from the old PC that I know work, same stuff.

based on a google search with people that have the same problem. its ur board u probably have to RMA it

Right... if this is anything like the QQ codes in my Crosshair V formula Z (and I believe it is). The writing and the placments of the LED's are off by one.

When I first built my PC i got the exact same as you (CPU ERROR LED on) but if you actually count the LED's and the words you will find it could be the RAM thats not working correctly.

 

Does that motherboard have a MemOK! button?

Ok, so I did just try and reflash the BIOS, no luck there.

 

Its defiantly the CPU LED that is on. 

Dont think I have the MemOK! think, but as I sad, I did try with ram that I know work, and still got the same result.
