In need of a "tv stand" for my TV and this is closest thing I could find which has storage and is the correct height I need it at.

http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/40134050/#/20102154

I will be putting my TV on top (about 11kg) and basically filling the shelves with DVD's.

The max load for this is 30kg, is that too low?

Its the only thing I can find that is suitable size wise as I need a specific height of 64-70cm

30KG? that thing should hold 120KG if it is not chipboard wood. EDIT, it means shelf load, top load would be a lot higher as i mentioned.

I like the look of it BTW, nice and simple, i also recommend you cut some holes in the shelves if you are going to put DVD/Console etc in those spots, will help venting and cable management.

Yes I will be putting a small hole in the back as I Intend on putting my 360 and a blu ray play in there along with filling the entire thing up with DVD's and I'm in dire need of somewhere to put them all lol and the room isn't that big.

And yes I love simple thing,s it matches my desk (which is a coffee table.....don't ask lol I'll be posting a picture once everything is sorted, busy moving into a new room) it makes sense when you look at it xD

Oh so the 30kg doesn't apply to the entire thing? I thought it meant that you can only have 30kg weight on the entire thing?

And yes the thing is made of crappy stuff:

Just shelf load, it will be because they are usually held in with little wood sections, i forgot the name of them, but yeah, 30KG on a shelf is a LOT, on top, you should be able to do 90-120KG, will hold a 15 stone man pretty easily.

Ok thanks for that, I didn't know, I thought due to the materials it wouldn't really hold much.

Can buy this in peace now :D
