After fixing some problems with my GPU which I mentioned in my previous topic, other problem appeared. Seems like my GPU does not like to be stressed. Whenever I open up games I get artifacts and black screen for 2 secs, as shown in the video I recorded:

The GPU is 1 day old, cannot be returned, it is brand new, never used before.

Things that might have an influence:

-updated my BIOS yesterday

-the first time I use DVI connection from monitor to GPU (before I used VGA with adaptor)

-my monitor is almost 10 years old, have been repaired twice

-did not reinstall windows after GPU installation, it automatically installed nvidia drivers and can't find the old drivers I had (probably deleted automatically... idk)

You need to use DDU before installing a new graphics card. Unless your lazy like me.

Reinstalled windows, fresh drivers, same problem... but I noticed something strange.

I have the same issues but if I play The Witcher 3 in windowed, all artifacts are gone. I only have them in fullscreen

faulty card? why you can't return it? it's brand new right?

here is a temporary solution, try lowering the clocks of your gpu.

i experience a similar problem with my 7950 before it's turning on and off the display just like yours, and it turned out to be a faulty gpu memory.

i got very similiar issue also 1050ti, tested on two monitors, tried hdmi and dvi cable doesnt help, brand new instalation of driver  so imo its graphics card problem. Altough i get black screen very rarely, also these artifacts happen in watching videos, playing games etc.

p.s. lowering gpu clock's doesn't help

  • 4 weeks later...

So, I had some new problems and I had to enter the BIOS without my GTX 1050TI.

Without the GPU connected, I had the same problems in my BIOS, exactly like in the video. Artifacts and black screens. I noticed that this usually happens when the background color is black.

Here for example, I always have artifacts: https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/

So, if I have the same problem on my integrated GPU, what could be the problem?
