Need help with my first build.

Hey everyone! This will be my first build & I need help picking parts. I know I would like a 1080 TI. Also, due to an error on my part, I need to use this Case (I saved it on my wishlist on amazon & forgot it was still there. it was bought for me for Christmas) I don't have a preference with either Intel or AMD.

1. Budget & Location

My budget is between $1,500 to $2,000 US.

2. Aim

I plan on using my computer for gaming mostly. I tend to focus more on RPG games, but i really don't stick to one particular genre or game. I would like to play in 4k at 60fps if possible. I also plan on using it for light architectural work (CAD, Revit & 3ds Max), with most of my work focused on architectural renderings.

3. Monitors

I currently have 2 monitors. My main one is in 4k, the other is in 1080. I don't plan on upgrading my monitors any time soon.

4. Peripherals

I don't need any peripherals.

5. Why are you upgrading?

Some of the most recent games i wanted to play, i couldn't play at a high setting at a reasonable frame rate. My current computer is 7 years old and was store bought.

Thanks for the help!

This one assumes you're using rebates. You could easily reduce the cost by going for the 8600K to 8700, getting a cheaper motherboard, getting a lower capacity SSD/HDD, or getting a different PSU.

Believe it or not, that's the least expensive 1080 Ti on PCPP that's in stock, and that isn't crap.

CRYORIG H5 Universal would be a better choice given the memory modules.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
