Should I disable service Host: Superfetch

When i open up task manager, i sometimes notice Service host: Superfetch is using a lot of resources, so what i want to know is can i disable it, should i disable it and if i do will it break my laptop?

I don't really know what it does, for all i know what i am asking is like asking "Should i delete System32?", i am no expert with this sort of stuff. :)

Thanks :)

No, Superfetch is what Windows uses to load up commonly used apps into memory so they are ready for you to use straight away when you go to use them.

So i shouldn't end the task then?

No, while it would give you a few more resources, it will also cause quite a lot of problems, because if you do end it, then if you're unlucky, it can cause Windows to corrupt it's self or one of your apps. I know it's annoying seeing an app take up like 25% of your resources, but just live with it for a while t'ill Microsoft develops a more elegant solution :)
