NEWB NEEDS HELP WITH UPGRADING A PC, HELP!

Hello, i recently been looking into starting to stream but my pc is not too strong for that and wont handle the load of streaming and playing at the same time i need some recommendation on what CPU i should buy because i dont really know what is compatable or is not to my motherboard.

GPU - AMD Radeon R9 390 

CPU - Intel i5-4590 - 3.3ghz

8gb of ram

motherboard - ASUS Z97 ATX

650W power block

Well you should look firstly on gpu's but maybe the problem is network? I stream on steam (little not optimized) so my friend watches some gameplay and it runs smoothly (60fps, no lag on stream nor game) with my 1.0-3.5MB/ps down 1.5-5.0MB/ps up. And your system is better than mine actually.

my internet is good but its like laggy - download 126mbps upload 128 mbps, but i still lag ingame and stream lags

Hmm. Maybe you have many background apps? That may be a problem. Also don't download and stream at the same time, it will give u lag.

have you tried to stream on twitch smoothly? i tried to stream csgo on optimized settings and i just couldnt ingame lagging stream lagging and my pc's fans were going off i think the cpu cant handle the tasks and i always turn off everything when i stream

If you only want to upgrade your cpu, you will have to buy an i7, and of the 4th gen the only good i7 is the 4790K.

But again it depends also on what settings your games are running at, and what settings you are streaming at.

I could stream CS:GO on my i5-750. Granted, it was at 720P and 30FPS, but it was smooth and of decent quality. Your system should handle it just fine, as long as your network is fast enough.

i streamed on 720p at "recommended" settings i found on youtube and it didnt run smoothly

No I haven't streamed on twitch. Now that seems just like bad luck. Maybe it is software related buddy :P.
