Hey guys i scored a used rig with 2011 socket i7, 16gb ram, 120gb ssd and the GTX 960ti windforce gpu. [$500 AUD] and how my plan is to use the NZXT G12 GPU water cooling bracket for Acertek [pardon the spelling] style pumps and use the H105 cooler to cool the gpu. Its only tempory well untill i have the money for a balls to the wall pc but will be good for light to medium gaming. better then my laptop at least. any how getting to the point of this here thred. I wanted to know if any of you guys have done overclocking and have like a stable clock that worked for you. Also what program you used to OC. this card hasnt been OC'ed before and with the addition of watter cooling im hoping i can push it a bit more then factory OC.

I use MSI afterburner, always found it the most versatile and easy to use.

I'm not sure if you already have the parts, but the cost of the bracket and AIO unit doesn't really make sense for a GTX 960. You'd get a lot more performance for the same kind of money trading it for a 970 or a 1060 imho.

Also, watercooling a card like that probably won't give you a  whole lot more headroom for overclocking, don't expect more than a few percent. It might be a little more quiet though.

Does you mum know you're here?

when it comes to GPU overclocking i always use evga precision x. it's free and works great. when it comes to overclocking your GPU it's a fairly easy thing to do and there are a fair amount of tutorials on youtube. as for water cooling your GTX 960 the cost isn't worth the benefit. an aggressive fan curve that keeps your gpu temp under 60C does just as well.

You mean a gtx 960(without the ti).

I have mine overclocked to 1400mhz (I guess, have to check it when I get to my house). And a card like that should NOT be water cooled, it is too "low end" for that. It only takes a 6 pin connector, and mine never passes 74° which is fine

Ultra is stupid. ALWAYS.
