Hey Everyone,

I have been needing to replace my old Hard Drive, but I really don't want to go through the hassle of re-installing Windows and all of my other programs. Is there a way to transfer all the information over to the new hard drive? Now the hard part is that I have an SSD with my OS and some programs on them and my hard drive is for major storage and a few non-essential programs.

Thanks everyone!

There are ways to image your current HDD and put that image on the new drive. One of the programs that can do this is Acronis True Image which can be found at https://www.acronis.com/en-us/

If you end up getting a Samsung SSD, I'm not sure if this applies to all models, but the 850 EVO comes with an cloning tool called Data Migration in a CD format, it can also be downloaded here http://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/download/tools/

Edit: This process does take a while but it sure will be a lot less of an hassle than transferring all your files, re-installing Windows, applications, etc.
