Only if you use PCIe risers/adapters and not for SLI/CrossFire

say.... if i were to plug a GPU into the first slot and risers for the rest of the PCI-E slots, mining with all but gpu0, will the gaming experience still be smooth or not?

It'll be smooth as long as you have a good CPU, enough memory, and enough cooling to allow none of your GPUs to thermal throttle. And as long as you have a good GPU as GPU0
