Bottlenecking?

Hello i really have a problem i have trash fps in many games,

Specs

i7700k

1060 3gb

650 watt cosair PSU

Motherboard STRIX Z270F GAMING

 

I think my i7700 is bottlenecking my gpu what do you guyes think ?

Unless you've got bad thermals, that's highly unlikely.

What do you define as trash FPS, in what games, what settings, and what monitor(s) are you using? I have a 1080 and my 7700k does not bottleneck it at all.

It would be the other way around if anything.  Bad thermal performance is the most obvious thing.  What games and what resolution and what FPS is trash to you?

Also a thing to keep in mind: the 1060 3gb is mid range at best. (I'd consider it a lower end card)

in h1z1 i play everything low with 1440x900 :-D i feel like im lagging also

In h1z1 i play everything low i have a 144hz asus monitor

h1z1 isn't "many games". You still haven't reported your FPS. And I wonder what other issues you are having, since you talk about lagging. Maybe bad internet too?

 

What people need:

Amount of FPS per title, add multiple titles.

Report resolution and settings.

Report temps of CPU AND GPU.

Report how much % of CPU and GPU is being used while gaming.

Other things I seem to forget, due to lurking tech jesus vids atm.
